Tobacco drying shed - Early 20th century - Wood.
Tobacco growing is a dominant activity in this commune, which is characterized by the mixed farming typical of the South-West. Tobacco drying sheds were built in the early 20th century. These were large wooden sheds from which the tobacco was hung to dry. A series of tilting shutters let the air through. Flue-cured tobacco became the predominant crop.
