Moulin des Goulards - 1581 - Stone.
This very damaged mill retains an inscription in old French, engraved on the lintels of its two entrance doors, one of which is walled up. The inscription on the southern door can be translated as follows: "le 8 Mai 1851 fut commencé ce moulin et fait bâtir par de Goulard". The inscription on the north façade ends with the words: "et Anne Chaussade, femme de Goulard" (and Anne Chaussade, wife of de Goulard). The lintels are also adorned with escutcheons: one bears angled bands engraved with three birds, possibly partridges, while the other bears three sheaves of wheat. These escutcheons are probably the arms of the Goulard family, and also adorn the château. This mill is the only one in the canton to preserve engraved lintels. It has been burnt down twice by lightning...
