Menhir des Goulards - Prehistory - Limestone - (H: 1 m, W: 0.50 m).
This menhir was discovered in 1922 by Fernand Morin, a municipal employee renowned for his geological knowledge and prehistoric research. Located on the edge of a wood known as "de la Garenne au Nic", the menhir stands on the former seigneury of Les Goulards, beside a sunken path marked out with red sandstone slabs. It took the strength of 47 horses - the equivalent of a hundred men - to move it to its present location. The origin of its erection remains unknown, but certain hypotheses associate it with a place of worship or the consecration of a place particularly struck by lightning.
