Bridge - 14th or 15th century and 1854 - Limestone
Contrary to popular belief, the Romanesque origin of this bridge is unlikely. At the time, lords crossed small streams on horseback. In the Middle Ages, crossings were made by ford or mill. When bridges were needed, particularly to bring in crops, they were usually built of wood. The Pont de Perricot links the parish of Auriolles to the Château de Boirac-Ségur, whose lord assists the village in case of danger. The link is provided by the noble house of La Cave, whose name undoubtedly refers to an underground passage linking the manor house to Château de Boirac. The bridge heads date back to the 14th or 15th century. The vault was rebuilt in 1854.
