Eglise Notre Dame de Seilhac

Description

Of the 12th-century church, only the Romanesque choir has survived. Destroyed by fire in 1660, rebuilt in 1789, it was enlarged in 1882 and features beautiful polychrome frescoes. Behind the church, a remarkable lime tree, planted in 1831 to commemorate the 1830 revolution, shades the "Croix d'Oradour", which in 1929 received the iron cross it bears today.
