Rue Principale - Balcons XVIIIème siècle

Description

Remarquez les maisons qui bordent la Rue Principale, aux numéros 61, 21, 54, 48. Les plus
anciennes, construites au XVIe siècle ont pignon sur rue. Celles du XVIIe siècle reconstruites et transformées, présentent une façade sur rue.


Constitué d’une épaisse dalle de granit et orné d’une balustrade en fer forgé, ce balcon est l’un des exemples types des ajouts faits au XVIIIe siècle par les mariniers ou les commerçants enrichis. La tradition nous apprend que cette maison est l’oeuvre de Jean-Baptiste Ceineray (architecte du Quai de la Fosse à Nantes).
