The commune of Grandcamp-Maisy, located in the west of Calvados, was known as Grandcamp-les-Bains at the time of the first seaside resorts. Today the village is home to a fishing port, a marina and a beach, part of which is still accessible even at high tide. It is a place that also has the privilege of being a great fishing spot on foot, which is a good way to keep the children busy! The speciality of the area is fishing for "bouquet" (a kind of big grey shrimp).
