Pont de l'Ancienne Voie Ferrée de La Roche-Posay

The arrival of the railroad in La Roche-Posay, and the construction of the station and bridge in the 1890s, enabled the town to become a busy station on the Châtellerault - Châteauroux line. The station boosted the town's development, enabling the Parisian upper middle class to come to La Roche-Posay to take the waters. The railway line operated until 1952 for passengers and 1972 for freight.
