Eglise Saint Avit à Saint-Avit

Built in the late 19th century in the neo-Romanesque style, this church features two chapels in which Masutti worked from 1944 onwards. One features the Apparition of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette, in a layout similar to that seen at Caubon, while the other chapel is adorned with a false red drapery. A copy of Murillo?s Saint Anthony of Padua and Child, on the nave wall, could also be attributed to Masutti, although there is no date or signature on the painting.
