Unique and egnimatic, the priory crowns the top of a basalt cone where, during spring and summer, a Mediterranean flora flourishes (fig trees, anise, almond trees). Overlooking the plain, it proudly bears the traces of its ancient splendour.
Built between the Xth and the XIIIth centuries, the church of St-Romain-le-Puy Priory is a masterpiece of Romanesque Art. The crypt, the capitals, the sculpted décor reveal the refinement of this architecture, where aesthetics and symbolism are subtly entwined.
