Immerse yourself in the world of the mine: 160m of identically reconstructed galleries reproduce scenes of daily work, retracing the real-life conditions of underground miners. Guided tour or self-guided tour with audioguide.
Guided tours (60 to 90 minutes, in French) or self-guided tours (90 minutes, in French, English, German, Italian). Come and immerse yourself in the 5-century history of coal mining in Auvergne. The Mine Museum owes its uniqueness and originality to its galleries: no less than 160m of identically reconstructed tunnels.
The Mine Museum is housed in the old mining machinery building. This is where the energy needed to mine coal was produced and transformed. This was also the site of the important machine that lowered and raised the shaft.
