Description :

Day 1: 4h30 walk / D+ 621m / D- 200m.

Departing from Plan du Lac, gateway to the commune of Saint Christophe en Oisans, the route takes you to an isolated mountain hamlet and its typical habitats: Lanchâtra. You'll then follow the emerald-green waters of the Vénéon torrent to spend the night at the cosy 20-bed Refuge de l'Alpe du Pin.

Day 2: 4h walk / D+ 300m.

Head for the Mariande valley, one of the wildest in the area, where sheep graze alone... Descend into the valley, passing through the hamlets of La Gassaudière, Champhorent and Champébran. Overnight at the Gîte d'Etape de Pré Clot, formerly a sheepfold.

3rd day: 5h walk / D+ 677m.

Departure for St Christophe with visit to the museum, then Les Près, Miroir des Fétoules, Le Puy and return to Plan du lac.
