Description :

Day 1: 4h30 walk / D+ 621 m

Departing from Plan du Lac, gateway to the commune of Saint Christophe en Oisans, the route takes you to an isolated mountain hamlet and its typical habitats: Lanchâtra. You'll then follow the emerald-green waters of the Vénéon torrent to spend the night at the cosy 20-bed Refuge de l'Alpe du Pin.

Day 2: 5h walk / D+ 710m .

Head for the Mariande valley, one of the wildest in the area, where sheep graze alone... On the way, you'll discover Souchey and its mountain pasture houses, which were still used for pastoral activities until the 1950s. Overnight at the Arias gite.


Day 4: 5h30 walk / D+ 1000m.
Departure from Pré Clot, via Plat de la Selle, for St Christophe with a visit to the museum.

Day 5: 5h walk / D+ 400m.
Passage through les Près, le Miroir des Fétoules, le Puy and its old cultivation terraces and return to Plan du lac.
