In the 17th century, rue des Sablons in Fontainebleau marked the boundary of the town, bordered by woods on sandy ground. Today, it links Place de Gaulle to the main entrance to the Château de Fontainebleau.
It is distinguished by its many old houses.
Once bustling with markets, rue des Sablons is now pedestrianized, offering quality shops.
