Concours International de sculptures sur paille & foin

Come and discover the work of the 12 participating teams
Figurative or not, these works are impressive in terms of the materials used.
Using straw, hay, chicken wire, wire and burlap, artists sculpt works of art from their own imaginations.
An unmissable summer event!
Located on the route des grandes alpes just outside the hamlet of Les Verneys, between the center of Valloire and the Galibier.
The straw and hay creations, once erected, remain visible until All Saints' Day.
You can reach the site by shuttle bus in July and August, or in 40 minutes on foot along a hiking trail from the center of Valloire, or park free of charge nearby.

Applications have been open since 25/02/2026, so don't hesitate to download the documents and return them completed to sculptures@valloire.fr before 05/04/2026.

Contest starts: Tuesday, June 30 at 9 a.m.
Contest closes: Sunday, 12 noon

From June 30 to July 05: Come and support the sculptors and follow the evolution of the sculptures throughout the week!

Saturday July 04 from 6.30pm: Concert on the sculpture site.

Sunday July 05: For safety reasons, the site is closed to the public from 8am to 1pm. (competition ends at 12 noon)

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Voting for the Public Prize and the Youth Prize at the Tourist Office.

1 pm to 4:30 pm: Voting for the People's Prize and Youth Prize on the sculpture site.

From 4pm: Refreshments provided by Pic Sonne

5.30pm: Competition prize-giving ceremony on the sculpture site
