This ancient monument was built in the 1730s at the request of Pope Clement XII. At that time, the Church wanted such buildings to be built on the highest points of each village in order to protect them from epidemics of plague or other. The Calvary of Falisolle is more than just a cross: it is a Christ on the cross accompanied by the Virgin and placed in a chapel. It dominates the landscape and is accessible by a pretty path from the Rue de la Montagne. For lovers of walks, the Balade des Champignons will take you past the foot of this path. Be curious and take it!Worn by the centuries, the Calvary has regained its former glory thanks to the restoration work it benefited from in 2012, under the leadership of Jean Bouffioulx. Many craftsmen from the region worked voluntarily to restore this important building for the inhabitants of the entity.
