At the end of the 19th century, the banks of the Marne in Le Perreux became an essential leisure area. Even today, they offer pleasant strolls through natural landscapes and remarkable architecture.
Many of the villas built at the end of the 19th century by Parisians in search of a country setting can still be seen along the landscaped promenades, facing the bucolic landscapes of the Marne islands.
