Built in the early 17th century on the site of an older chapel dating back to the 12th century, the Church of Saint-Gervais–Saint-Protais has undergone several transformations — first in the 18th century, then again in the 19th.
What makes this church truly remarkable is that it houses the only remaining diorama by Louis Daguerre, one of the pioneers of early photography, painted in 1842 when he settled in Bry-sur-Marne.
