Ponds and waterfall of Coeurcq

A place for walking located in Roman Païs, in the Western part of the Walloon Brabant, but in particular a gathering spot for fishermen, the ponds of Coeurcq feed a waterfall of over 7 meters, in a calm and serene spot.After a marshy backup of the water supplying the Coeurcq mill, several developments of the site have been carried out for almost a century. This green showcase is a pleasant spot for a walk.Fishing lovers will also find their heart’s desire (Exploitation « Les pêcheurs réunis de Tubize ASBL”).The site contains two ponds, the first covering an area of 1.6 ha and the second 2.1 ha. The ponds abounds with fish, which makes them popular.You can fish roaches, ides, rotengles, breams, crucian carps, and even carps up to 20 kg.Fellow fishermen, don’t forget the annual "Pêche en fête" get-together organized at the ponds over Whitsun.In this greenery spot, you will also find a playground for children, a boules ground, a nice refreshment bar with its terrace facing the ponds, toilets, a large car park and an easy access for persons with reduced mobility.
