Description

With a surface area of 7.5 hectares, it is the second largest park in the city center. It's a stone's throw from the Ecole de Nancy museum and adjoins Nancy Thermal. The Jesuits settled here in 1620 and named it Sainte-Marie. In 1808, it became a private pleasure garden. It was at this time that it was superbly landscaped and planted with remarkable trees (weeping sequoia, tulip tree, cedar, oak). In 1904, the town became the owner and turned it into a public garden.

As you stroll along the wide, winding paths, you'll discover some remarkable trees (in 2014, the Magnolia was awarded the "Remarkable Tree of France" label), a bandstand, a rocky mound and its pond, beautiful lawns and the former Maison Alsacienne, created for the International Exhibition of Eastern France in 1909.

A playground with basketball baskets and petanque courts are also available. The facility is also suitable for disabled children.
