Landes serpentinicoles des Pierre du Mas

This serpentine heathland, one of the most beautiful in the region, covers some twenty hectares. Although it lost its rocky chaos in the 1950s to stone the roads used for land consolidation, the site retains its picturesque appearance of mesophilic heath, with small patches of Fétuque de Léman lawn.

The site is home to the only Limousin station of Gentian champêtre. There are also some fine views of the Monédières (19) and Mont Gargan (87) from the high point of this heathland.
