Discover Caen racecourse through its history, its major events and behind the scenes. Your guide will explain how one of France's oldest racecourses works and the major events that make up its calendar of 28 meetings a year.
As well as its racing programme, La Prairie also qualifies future racehorses on its top-quality track. Head to the stables to find out how all the horses are checked on arrival (identity, vaccinations, etc.) and all the equipment used for racing. There will then be a focus on the profile of the Caen racecourse track, as well as its use and maintenance. The tour will end in the weighing room, where the entourage of the winning horses are notified that they have been tested as part of the fight against doping. On your return to the hall, you will be introduced to horse betting by a specialist who will accompany you as you place your first bet.

Unaccompanied minors are not permitted during this service. As the racecourse restaurant is open on race days, you can continue your discovery there.
