Around 1712, François Huguet de Graffigny built the château and its park, which was cared for by the famous agronomist Charles-Alexandre Mathieu de Domsbale. The financier Elie continued to develop the park.
Today, the complex is managed by the town of Villers-lès-Nancy. It hosts events, fairs, meetings and temporary exhibitions (timetables can be consulted on the Villers-lès-Nancy website, depending on the program).
The park is open every day and is home to several remarkable tree species, including a cedar of Lebanon, a sequoia, a ginkgo biloba, a medlar tree and a polownia.
It is also the setting for monumental works of art, such as the famous Massai giant by sculptor Jean-No.
