Cap Romain is a protected site of geological interest located on the seafront in the communes of Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer and Bernières-sur-Mer. Natural erosion has revealed remarkably well-preserved Jurassic-age fossil sponge reefs and their accompanying fauna in the limestone of the middle part of this cliff, and locally on the rocky foreshore. All sampling is prohibited.
