Botanical inventories revealed the presence of 106 plant species. Despite its small size, the site has a high heritage value from a floristic point of view: it is one of the few regional and even French stations of the male peony (20 to 25 known stations of this protected species in France). In Poitou-Charentes, populations are either native or have been naturalized from seeds or plants collected in the wild. Among the 6 orchid species listed is the Monkey Orchid, which is regionally protected. Three other species on regional reference lists were also inventoried: round-fruited chickweed, wood laurel and reddish thorn.
