Le Lac de la Fôret

Located on the outskirts of the Châtellerault state forest, Lac de la Forêt is a pleasant place for walkers. In summer, swimming is permitted and the beach is popular. Paths and picnic facilities are also available. With a surface area of 532 hectares, the forest offers a natural heritage conducive to walking and sport, with several signposted fitness trails in the forest (4, 6 and 12 km), a bowling green, children's play areas and an arboretum with 62 different species on a 1,500-metre path.
