Musée du Cognac et du Vin

Description

Saint-Aulaye is situated on the border of the Dordogne and the Charente. The only bastide of the Périgord Vert welcomes you on a promontory overlooking the Dronne valley. You are here in AOC Cognac and, in addition to a 12th century Romanesque church with a Saintongeaise facade, Saint-Aulaye is home to a Cognac Ecomuseum, housed in a former farm building.
During a chronological tour, discover the spirit and know-how of the distiller, the cellar master, the winemaker and the cooper. Visit the cellars, learn the secrets of winemaking and admire various traditional winemaking objects, including an 18th century still and a double-screw press. At the end of your tour, a Cognac and Pineau tasting is offered.
