Stèle de la Betoulle à Saint-Maurice-La-Souterraine

Nestled in the small Cure wood, accessible from the central street of Saint-Maurice-la-Souterraine via a well-cleared path, the Bétoulle stele is an ancient funerary monument: a particularly remarkable Gallo-Roman necropolis. Comprising a number of chests and urns, it is distinguished by its monumental burial site. It is probably the only one of its kind in the Limousin region to have both its base and its stele in the same place.
