Eglise de Clairavaux

Saint Roch de Clairavaux church is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Saint Roch. It belonged to the Abbey of Saint Martial, in the diocese of Limoges.
This 12th-century building, enlarged in the 15th century, is typical of rural churches in the Limousin mountains. It was listed as a historic monument on January 9, 1957 and has since been restored.
During the restoration of the church, a painted calendar was discovered, featuring painted scenes corresponding to each month of the year.
