Musée de la Mine
Description
Coal was mined in Bosmoreau les Mines from 1784 to 1958, and the story is told in 7 rooms: tools, everyday objects, models, photos... give an insight into the trades, techniques and economic and social upheavals of the period.
The tour ends with a faithful reconstruction of the classroom where miners' children were taught in 1900.
Outdoor tour of former mining sites.
Open July-August 2-6:30pm daily.
April to June and September to October by appointment only.
