The church of Saint-Roch de Sornac (late 12th century for its choir and bell tower) is the most imposing Romanesque building on the Plateau de Millevaches on the Correzian side. The nave was twice enlarged in the 16th and 18th centuries. The church's first incumbent was Saint-Martin, followed by Saint-Roch. The imposing altarpiece, with its illuminations, polychromy, capitals and cornices dating from the mid-19th century, was restored in 1993 by young specialist artists. The statuettes of saints that complete the altarpiece and the tabernacle, with its more accentuated polychromy, date from an earlier 17th-century altarpiece. Numerous crosses can be seen in and around the church. Its Aubusson tapestry is a reproduction of an extract from the 3rd piece of the Angers tapestry illustrating the text of St. John.
