Description

Covering an area of 2.5 hectares, the Parc de la Cure d'Air offers a breath of fresh air and a magnificent view over Nancy. It was in 1900 that a cure and convalescence establishment was created on the heights of the city, 300m above sea level on the Haut-de-Chèvre hill. The clean air and sunny exposure immediately attracted many walkers, and the park quickly became fashionable. It expanded to include children's playgrounds, a guinguette and a restaurant. After the First World War, the estate was acquired by the Sisters of the Visitation, but was reopened to the public in 1991 after their departure. It is also home to ancient varieties of apple and pear trees.
