Espace naturel du Bois de la Pimpine
Description
Bois de la Pimpine is a hillside site. It covers former underground quarries, some of whose entrances are still visible, and overlooks a large pond below.
This site offers ideal conditions for bats: an insect pond providing abundant food, and trees and underground quarries providing natural shelter.
It can be reached via the Piste Roger Lapébie opposite the Etang des Sources in Cénac (40 minutes by bike from the Pont de Pierre in Bordeaux).
