Between the Vanoise National Park and Italy, the refuge is located in a wild and unspoilt valley of the Haute Maurienne. It is an easy to access family walking destination, and is also popular with hikers on the Tour de la Bessanèse.
The caretaker of the place will welcome you in an eco-responsible approach (local, fair trade and organic products, promoting the traditional know-how of the region). Up there, everything is homemade. Equipped with a dedicated room and specific equipment, the refuge is ideal for families. It is a must for itinerant hikers in the Franco-Italian Alpine landscapes. The refuge is the starting point for the ascent of the Albaron and the Pointe de Charbonnel. In winter, ski tourers will be able to set off on the crossing of the Haute-Maurienne" Carro-Evettes-Avérole
