The only park of its kind in Europe, Vulcania is one of the best-known parks in France, and over 85% of its visitors come from outside the Auvergne. A visit to the park is not only an opportunity to learn about volcanoes and planet Earth, but also to discover local gastronomy and handicrafts at the Auvergne boutique! Partnership with accommodation providers and other Auvergne sites. Sustainable entertainment label. Environmental actions implemented : - Selective sorting: food waste sorted and recovered by methanization; cigarette butts sorted and collected; - Reduction of packaging and use of recyclable materials; - Optimization of heating and air conditioning; - Installation of low-consumption equipment; - Reducing water consumption by installing aerators; - Raising employee and customer awareness of eco-driving and switching off unused appliances; - Encouraging car-pooling or public transport; - Provision of charging stations for electric vehicles; - Use of eco-responsible products: ecological cleaning products, sustainable materials; - Choice of local, committed suppliers; - Favoring labeled products (organic, fair trade, etc.); - Planting of trees or hedges to encourage local wildlife. - Treatment of ferns in the greenhouse using biological auxiliaries (adapted insects).
