This nice little family hike will take you through a larch forest on a wide and gentle route to a viewpoint over Briançon and its forts.

ITINERARY

1. Go to the foot of the Centre Balnéo & Spa Durancia and take the path along the building on the left, towards the Espace Multi-Activités
2. On the trail, at the bridge, turn right and follow the green signs "Espace Multi-Activité", until you reach the lookout. On the way you will find a military pill, a defensive structure dating from the Second World War
3. Come back along the same path or take the variations indicated on the signs (Parcours de santé du bois de Sestrières).

PRATICAL INFORMATION

Halfway along, you will find a picnic area with tables, a fountain (drinking water) and barbecues. If you go for an early morning walk, you may be lucky enough to spot some deer, as this area also has a reserve.
