Description

The historical discovery of slate in Morzine dates as far back as 1732, found in all the cliffs overhanging the Valley de Sous le Saix (Slate Valley). In the Lappiaz mine, the slate was quarried and made use of between 1856 and 1963
Difficulty: None but can be slippery underfoot on rainy days
