Description

The 410-hectare Lac de la Triouzoune boasts a superb setting, with banks surrounded by forests and small islands and islets at its center, offering a multitude of sandy or green natural shores.

Classified as a "European Blue Flag" lake, it is fed by the Triouzoune, a ZNIEFF classified river that rises on the Millevaches plateau. Its waters are rich in fish and of high quality (the pearl mussel, a rare species living upstream from the lake, is the most faithful indicator of this). Large carnivores thrive here.

Located between the villages of Neuvic, Liginiac and Sérandon, this artificial reservoir was created following the construction of the Neuvic hydroelectric dam.

Follow the banks of the lake, in the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside, on easy walks through undergrowth and meadows. Discover the lake by canoe, boat or rowing boat.
