Hiking with a donkey is practical and fun!
Your travelling companion will lighten your load on walks through the central Pyrenees. Your children can climb on the pack-saddle to discover the Comminges at the pace of donkeys!

Céline and Nicolas offer a range of walking options with a pack donkey to help you discover the Pyrenees; free walks, accompanied walks or walks adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Situated between the foothills of the Pyrenees and the high mountain range, straddling the Ariege Pyrenees and Comminges Barousse Pyrenees Regional Nature Parks, far from the tourist crowds, let yourself be carried away by the peace and quiet of our mountains. For decades, livestock farming has shaped this area into a landscape of hedged farmland, dotted with picturesque little villages, dominated by large, deep forests and with the high peaks as a backdrop. It's an undiscovered region, unspoilt by mass tourism, authentic and mysterious, the ideal place for your family hikes, as much for its accessibility as for the quality of its landscapes.

They use donkeys bred by them, for walks ranging from one day to several days. Our donkeys are first and foremost travelling companions, taking the weight of your rucksacks off your shoulders. If children ride the donkeys, they do so under the full responsibility of their parents, in compliance with the age limit of 4 years and a maximum of 7 years and a maximum of 30 kg, as well as the requirement to wear a helmet. Children will also have to get off the donkey and walk through tricky passages.

Animals: dogs are not allowed on the farm and are authorised in the mountains provided they are kept on a lead.
On site (booking required): yurt accommodation, table d'hôtes, drinks for sale, shaded area by the river.

Please note: We limit the donkey's load to 30 kg.
Children aged 4 and over may ride on the donkey's pack-saddle under the responsibility of their parents, provided they wear a helmet or a helmet and depending on the package chosen. In addition, children will have to dismount the donkey and walk through tricky passages.

The ideal companion for your nature outings, it will take the weight of your rucksack off your shoulders and become a real travelling partner for your children...

To ensure that this adventure is a real pleasure for you and takes place in complete safety, we include 1 day of training (donkey care, use of carrying equipment, map reading, etc.) and one day of hiking to familiarise you with your donkey.

Two trips per year

A unique and exceptional experience. Twice a year, we organise a nature trip on the theme of bears and the great fauna of the Pyrenees. For 5 days, we travel to the heart of the bear zone in the Central Pyrenees to prospect and look for signs of their presence. Accompanied by a naturalist guide, a donkey driver and his donkeys, you will have the privilege of exploring these wild and unspoilt mountains...
