La Fraîche waterfall

In both summer and winter, just twenty minutes from the village, the La Fraîche waterfall is a natural wonder that you just have to see!
In winter, the snow-covered approach trail may be icy.
From the village center, head towards the Les Bieux neighborhood. The trailhead is located at a hairpin turn in the road, at the foot of the climbing crag. After walking for twenty minutes through the forest, you will come to a truly spectacular sight. Carved in the rock, the waterfall gushes in a roaring chaos of whitewater. Enjoy the cool sensation in summer as well as watching climbers as they make their way along the via ferrata, crossing the waterfall on a narrow suspended footbridge. We recommend continuing to the overlook on the opposite side to marvel at this local natural wonder. Several variations are possible – check the Pralorando hiking guidebook. Due to its aspect, we recommend a late-morning visit. In winter, snowshoes or crampons are highly recommended.
