“A garden... like a labyrinth sending its visitors beyond time and space.” as described by Amy O’Neill, the artist having designed this garden. Driven by the municipality of Grande-rivière, which was severely affected by the two World Wars, this landscaped garden, which includes war memorials in memory of the victims of the 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 wars, is a place to remember all wars, both past and present across the world. By inviting people to walk around, it allows visitors to reflect on the notion of peace and the ability to come together and combat extremism.
