Madame Karine Lachapelle - abat-jouriste

Karine has always loved decorating and antique furniture. Working with armchairs, fabrics and textiles by hand gives meaning to her profession. It was with this in mind that she embarked on a career change eight years ago. She first learned the upholsterer?s trade and set up her own business in Picardy. She then trained as a lampshade maker. A year and a half ago, she fell under the spell of Issigeac, where she has just opened her boutique. Here, she offers her own creations of lampshades and armchairs, and a selection of furniture she restores, as well as a range of antique linens, lavender spindles and scents from French artisans. Her work is marked by her love of old fabrics, floral motifs and soft colors that create muted interiors.
