Description
At the foot of the Pic d'Auriol, you are in the heart of a site that is both mineral and wooded, on the border between Ariège and the Pyrénées-Orientales. The Bésines refuge enjoys a particularly favourable position for the discovery of the Catalan highlands, on foot or on skis.

The proximity of many lakes, such as the Etang des Bésines or the Etang du Lanoux, makes it a paradise for fishermen. In addition, there is an exceptional richness of flora and fauna, which will appeal to families with children and contemplative hikers. Whether you are a hiker, fisherman, climber, curious about beautiful mountains, we will welcome you warmly and contribute to a precious moment of exchange with the mountains. You can then set off again on the GR 10, the GR 107 (Chemin des Bonhommes) or the Tour des Perics. Ski touring offers many possibilities on the outskirts of the Carlit.
