In 1874, to extend the Promenade Blossac, an English-style garden was laid out on the site of the fairgrounds. Planted with exotic species (cedars of Lebanon, redwoods and American walnut trees), it was embellished with false rocks and waterfalls. In 1898, the guard's house was built on the site, with a half-timbered facade salvaged from a medieval house in the center. When the Ozon district was developed, Avenue Schumann (1963) cut the garden in two.
