Founded in 1629 for a community of Benedictine nuns, Valognes Abbey received an enthusiastic welcome from the population and in 1646 obtained a patent of protection from King Louis XIII. Following the Revolution of 1789, the sisters were expelled and the building was transformed into a hospital-hospice. This Baroque ensemble, organised around the cloister, presents a remarkable stylistic unity. Guided tours according to the programming of the Pays d'art et d'histoire du Clos du Cotentin and by reservation for adult and school groups. Current hospital.
