The Mérelle observatory has a 360 degree panoramic view.

The scouts, during a hike on the heights of Gérardmer in July 1964, found themselves on the heights of the site, overlooking the lake of Gérardmer.
A project was then born: the construction of this superb wooden viewpoint with 85 spiral steps offering a spectacular view of Lake Gérardmer in the foreground, with the Gérardmer Stations ski area and the Route des Crêtes in the background.
