










A required stop when hiking the loop to circumnavigate the Vanoise Glaciers, Col de la Vanoise Pass, along the legendary GR55 trail, is also the most visited location in the Vanoise range, and rightly so.
A hut dating from 1902, completely renovated in 2013 and 2018, located on the Col de la Vanoise, a high place of passage, surrounded by prestigious peaks such as the Grande Casse, the Glières, the Aiguille de la Vanoise and the Réchasse. Marmots, Ibex and Chamois are very close.

Hiking time from the closest parking lot: 2.5hrs to 3hrs. Access possible via the Mont Bochor aerial tram, the Genépi chairlift in both summer and winter. Dogs are strictly prohibited in the Vanoise National Park, even on a leash. Permanent catering: mountain meals, vegetable soup, salad, mountain omelet, fromage blanc, blueberry tart. Organic and draft beers are available. Bivouacking: Due to the high number of visitors and the resulting impact on our sanitation system, camping is no longer permitted at the Col de la Vanoise refuge.
