Unique archaeological site with anthropomorphic tombs from the High Middle Ages, dominated by a pyramid-shaped ossuary and a 12th-13th-century chapel. Inside, many treasures including a Virgin and Child and a 14th-century mural.
The mural depicts the lord of Saint-Floret and his family. It is on display at the Palais de Chaillot.
It was on this hill, the Chastel, that Neolithic man first settled, followed by Celts, Gallo-Romans and then early Christians. Ancient remains are evidence of their presence. The top of the hill has always been considered sacred, and it was here that people built their sanctuary.
Take the opportunity to have a look around, the site offers a lovely view over the village!
