Castres' Municipal Theatre
Description
The very beautiful Italian-style Theatre of Castres is situated in front of the Bishop's Palace Garden and Goya Museum.
Designed by the architect Joseph Galinier, a student of Garnier, it has been inaugurated in 1904.
The interior layout mirrors the 'Opéra-Comque' theatre in Paris and its 'trompe-l'oeil' dome dedicated to classic tragedic is quite eye-catching.
High place of creativity and artistic representation, the Theatre offers a yearly program of the very highest quality.
