Located in the commune of Bernières-sur-Mer, some 600 metres from the beach in the Canadian landing area, you will be charmed by this peaceful place surrounded by countryside and white stones steeped in history.
For those of you who are interested, note that this estate was temporarily used as a field hospital on the day of the landing, taking in wounded combatants without distinction, whether they were Canadians, British, Germans or simple civilians from the village.
The memory of these events remains in the form of a few temporary graves, a memory maintained by the persistence of the rosebushes planted by the owners shortly after the D-Day landings.
